Susan has been with our Practice the longest, beginning as a chairside assistant in 1995. In 2001 she took the initiative to successfully complete all the necessary steps and coursework at Wake Forest to be recognized as a Dental Assistant II. In 2004 she began working at the front desk both meeting the needs of our patients and educating herself about dental insurances. In August of 2012, Susan took on the position of Office Manager. In addition to assisting with direct patient care and needs of the Front Desk, she also manages the needs of the staff and spearheads many of the projects to improve our Practice. Raised in Madison, Susan has enjoyed serving the community by sitting on the Board of Adjustments since 1997. She and her husband, Lindsay, have three children Christopher, Kelly and Lucy and they live in Madison. Susan enjoys spending time with her family and her Boston Terriers and is active in her church.
Gaye is our lead dental assistant. She began her dental assisting career through the military while living in Italy in 1986 through the Red Cross Volunteer Dental Assistant Program. Returning to the US in 1987 she began honing her dental assisting skills in the area. She joined our Practice in 1996. Gaye has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She keeps the clinical area of our Practice organized and running smoothly. Born in North Carolina but raised with a father in the military, Gaye has lived and traveled all over the United States and Europe. She lives in Sandy Ridge with her husband Garry and their children Garrett and Lora. Her eldest son, Doug passed away in 2004. Gaye's children are gifted athletes and she enjoys going to their sporting events which include football, basketball, track and travel softball. She also enjoys working in her flower beds.
Kari began her dental career in 1984 completing Western Wisconsin Technical Institute's Dental Assisting program. After 12 years of chairside assisting she returned to school to obtain her Dental Hygiene degree in 1996 from Madison Area Technical College in Wisconsin. That same year she joined our Practice here in Madison, N.C. She conscientiously provides quality care to her patients in a relaxed environment. Originally from Wisconsin, Kari lives in the area with her husband Steve and her beloved dog Brett. She is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, and she enjoys hiking, camping, travel, reading and boating.
Laurie began working at our Practice in 2000. She has 27 years experience in Dental Hygiene. In 1986 she obtained her Dental Hygiene degree from Tunxis Community College in Farmington, Connecticut. Laurie brings experience, compassion, attention to detail, and an upbeat personality to her work. Having worked in her native state of Connecticut and also in Vermont, Laurie has made North Carolina her home since 1998. She enjoyed raising her children in Summerfield and recently reconnected with her high school crush. Her daughter Kirstin is an English teacher locally, and her son Cam is a Corporal with the U. S. Marines. In her free time, Laurie is very active at her church, and enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, bicycling, and exercise classes.
Gretchen Hill is our bookkeeper and Administrative Supervisor. Married to Dr. Hill she assists behind the scenes helping staff and working on other projects for our Practice. She is a Registered Nurse having received her Associates Degree from GTCC in 1998. She continues to work part-time in Home Health. Growing up in Oak Ridge, Gretchen graduated from Northwest High School. Later working in Home Health she spent years seeing patients in Rockingham, Stokes, Forsyth and Guilford counties. Family time with Dr. Hill, and daughters Jordan, Sydney and Maggie is Gretchen's most enjoyable past-time in addition to enjoying reading, crafts and watching movies.
Casey is the newest member of our team. Originally from the small town of Wallburg, she has called Rockingham County home for many years. Happily married to her husband Keith since 2005 they have two beautiful children together named Olivia and Owen. Rounding out the family are their two dogs True Boy and Thor. After being a stay at home Mom she decided to enter the dental profession. Casey completed all the necessary requirements and is now a radiograph certified Dental Assistant I. She spends part of her time in the back assisting but is also usually the first smiling face who will greet you when you enter. Casey and her family live on their family farm in Bethany. She enjoys going to her children's varied sporting events and family trips to the outer banks.
